Christmas biscuits

Ingredients:
250g of plain flour
150g of sugar
1 teaspoon of salt
125g of soft butter
1 egg
1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon of ground ginger
A spare egg for the colour process
Utensils:
A mixing bowl
1 rolling pin
A wooden spoon
A scale
You can change the flavours of your cookies by swapping the ginger and the cinnamon with orange extract and orange zest! give it a try! It is delicious!
Step-by-step recipe:
In a mixing bowl, add the flour, sugar, cinnamon and ginger. Give a stir to combine.
Crack an egg and add the unsalted soften butter.
Start mixing with the spoon and then use your fingers to combine all the ingredients. You need to get a smooth dough.
Flatten it with a rolling pin (2cm thick).
Use your Christmas cookie cutter to shape your biscuits.
Line a baking tray, put your biscuits on it.
If you want a shinny finish, crack an egg in a small bowl and combine. Then brush the egg wash on the cookies.
Cook then in a preheat oven at 180C for 12-15 minutes.
